Fee Structure

Du Marche Capital has a flexible charging system. Essentially, each project is examined on its merits and a method of payment tailored to suit.

 However, practically all projects come under one of these five basic charging methods:-

(a) The Concept Fee;

(b) The Retainer Fee;

(c) The Project Fee;

(d) The Equity plus Retainer Fee; and

(e) Consultancy/Advisory Fee

Concept Fee

Ideas and strategies are the critical factors of success in our business and you will appreciate that we do not give them away. Du Marche has a reputation of creative and strategic excellence and we have a business policy not to become involved in discussions free of charge, against other companies. A one-off fee will be charged for all work completed by us after the initial briefing, which will provide a strategy document and costing of initiatives. Also expenses and any accounting/legal costs incurred are payable by the client.

Retainer Fee

The retainer method of operation provides a budgeting tool for both client and Du Marche. Built in is a balancing mechanism relating to the budgeted fee structure which follows the simple premise that we charge only for the time spent on the client's account. With long term clients, programs will be estimated and divided into monthly fee instalments, for example, an average program of $80,000 per annum will be divided into 12 equal instalments of $6,666.66. Retainers are billed monthly in advance. Du Marche will keep track of actual fees and plan to come in at the required servicing level within the 12 month period, even though the monthly activities may fluctuate up or down. If the servicing consistently goes over or falls under, this will be monitored and discussed with the client and a strategy worked out to accommodate the situation.

Extending the rationale for setting a retainer creates a two way process. The client is assured of Du Marche continuing services while the retainer ensures that we are available to service the client's requirements.

Project Fee

 Engaging Du Marche on a project basis is, as the work suggest, enlisting our services for a set period of time for a single project. It may take a day or a month or longer to expedite. But all activity will relate to one set topic with boundaries or operation.

It is our intention to estimate the project for the clients and divide the estimate by the project completion time frame and bill monthly in advance with a final "setting up" at end of project of each three months depending on the duration of the project.

For some of our clients, both the retainer and project system will operate.

Equity plus Retainer Fee

Du Marche, depending on the specific project, reserves the right to take up now or at a future date a percentage equity by way of fully paid or vendor shares, plus option of representation at board level.

If this option is exercised, there will be an adjustment on the monthly retainer fee charged.

Consultancy/Advisory Fee

These are charged on an hourly basis.

In addition, all expenses will be billed to clients as cost, at the beginning of the month after the expense is met.

The term "expenses" refer to all in-house and external bills received from outside expenses incurred by Du Marche such as:-

STD and ISD telephone calls

Facsimile

Documentation/Photocopying

Stationery

Couriers

External professional costs -

i.e. Legal, Accounting, Public Relations, Marketing

Travel

Printing

Other special costs
