 | It is wise to
prepare the information so that it can be released in stages and as separate packages.
|
 | Each of the
parties to these documents have been accustomed to a relatively standard format and each
focuses on separate aspects of the information.
|
 | It is
particularly helpful to keep 3 to 6 spare copies of the information ready for despatch.
Many entities wish to run the Project in separate offices -- usually two, but often three
locations.
|
 | IAF has a
standard confidentiality agreement which should be signed by the recipient before
confidential information is sent.
|
 | Confidential
Information should be marked / stamped. The same applies to drafts.
|
 | Information
should flow from one source in your company and always with a covering memo giving a list
of what is being sent.
|
 | An early dialogue
is better than delaying until the final studies have been completed.
|
 | Sloppy
organisation of the information will be regarded as a sign of sloppy thinking.
|
 | An early site
visit is well worth the expense. Use this visit for a presentation of the key people as
well as the Project.
|
 | Independent
reports, studies, audits, and verifications will be strong supports. A brief resume of the
consultants, qualification, and standing enhances this support.
|
 | Include a review
of existing and future competitive projects and highlight the comparative
advantages/disadvantages of this Project.
|
 | Cost competitive
analysis is also a powerful support. The importance of the power/thermal component is
vital to gauge the savings/marginal economics.
|
 | Lay out all
underlying assumptions for any analysis.
|
 | Furnish a list of
contact names, addresses, fax, and email addresses:-
