Background

Ridgewood is a New-York based investment bank, with a broker/dealer affiliate, Ridgewood Capital Funding Inc. (member NASD). Ridgewood provides a range of investment banking services including private placements, project finance, real estate, leasing, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate advisory services. Formed in 1989 by a number of senior officers from larger investment banks, and a partnership incorporated in 1987, the firm through its affiliates provides asset management in the U.S. and overseas.

Ridgewood offers a broad range of experience in corporate and project finance, leasing, infrastructure and resource financing, real-estate transactions, and mergers and acquisitions. Ridgewood can act as both an adviser and as investment bankers in assisting companies with their capital financing requirements.

Ridgewood has a strategic focus in advising clients on corporate and project finance as well as M&A advisory assignments in the U.S.A. and overseas transactions. Its advisory client list is domestic and international and includes both the middle market and major companies with cross-border operations.

Ridgewood professionals have a considerable amount of experience in the domestic and international financial engineering, especially leasing markets. This expertise includes the financing of assets under leases in wide variety of industries including transportation equipment such as aircraft, trucks, automobiles, and railway equipment. The firm also has been involved in the financing of power generating facilities for several major public utility companies. These plants include coal, thermal, and nuclear energy technologies. Our experience also includes the leasing of real estate for office and hotel buildings both in the domestic and international markets.

Ridgewood has broadened its product, capital base, and experience pool through the establishment of joint venture arrangements with select organisations globally. Three of these institutions merit specific comment. They are Sphere Capital Partners, Marston & Webb, and International Advisory & Finance.

	Sphere manages one of three leverage buyout and management buyout institutions in Australasia.
	Marston & Webb is a New York-based international public relations advisory company which represents over fifteen sovereign nations and a number of multilateral agencies as well as several US states.
	International Advisory & Finance is a network of boutique financial advisors who specialise in project financing across a range of sectors including infrastructure, power, and resources. Ranked 16^th in the world in 2000 for Project Finance Advisory Mandates by Project Finance International, the group has developed an impressive client list in this arena.
